SHOPPERS in Mold had a festive treat on Saturday when the town held its first Christmas market.
Visitors enjoyed children’s rides, stalls from local producers, mulled wine and Welsh oggies while listening to Mold Community Choir and solo singers.
Even Santa dropped in for a look.
Mold mayor Ray Dodd said: “It’s nice to see so many smiling faces enjoying Mold’s festive spirit.”
Town centre manager Dave Hill said: “We hope to see even more people enjoying the festive market next weekend.
“The market is running alongside an open day at Mold Visitor Centre and Celyn Farmer’s Market is on again at St Mary’s Church Hall, with silver bands and community choirs throughout the town.”
He added: “Mold is a great place to visit especially at Christmas – the street market is full, the shops are busy and this coming weekend it is our festive shopping weekend.”
The market is part of a range of events taking place in the town in the run up to Christmas, including extended shopping hours this weekend.
