A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been banned from all Holywell town centre pubs for the next six months.
The ruling follows an incident outside The Victoria Hotel on March 24 when defendant Daniel Cooper assaulted another man.
At Flintshire Magistrates Court Cooper, of Moorfields on the Holway estate, admitted assaulting Ryan Adamson and was placed on a 12-month community order.
He was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the community and was told to pay £100 compensation and £85 court costs.
Magistrates saw a CCTV recording of the incident, when Cooper tried to get into the pub at about 1am.
He was stopped by security staff but would not take no for an answer.
Mr Adamson, another customer, intervened and during a row the defendant ended up pushing him, causing him to fall backwards onto the floor.
Huw Roberts, defending, said Cooper and his partner had six children – with another on the way.
After that night he had decided to stop drinking, the court was told.
