Football: Mold Alexandra beaten as Overton rise to third

MOLD Alexandra’s poor Premier Division form continued as they lost 4-2 to OVERTON, who moved up to third.

Dave Lee hit two with Richard Jones and Jason Edwards completing their tally. Mold were given hope with goals from Wayne Craig and Chris Guy.

PENYFFORDD recorded a fantastic 4-1 success at Division One promotion rivals GARDEN VILLAGE. Adam Pugh, Sam Richardson, Chris Lavery and Mike Shaw made the task look easy.

SALTNEY TOWN were surprised by LLANUWCHLLYN who held them to a 1-1 draw. Saltney went ahead when Andy Johnson finished a Paul Hughes assist. But Llanuwchllyn struck back when Dylan Evans converted a spot-kick in the 83rd minute.

BORRAS PARK ALBION returned to form flooring Mold Juniors 4-0. Stuart Williams claimed a hat-trick and Matt Rowlands sealed the win.

CASTELL AC took a well earned point from their goal-less encounter with ACREFAIR YOUTH.

In the Reserves Division BALA TOWN shared the points in a 2-2 draw with AIRBUS UK.

Jay Jones, Scott Rogers and Sean Morris combined for Chirk AAA’s to prosper 3-0 against Castell Alun.

LEX XI earned a 3-3 draw with HAWARDEN RANGERS and LLANGOLLEN were thrashed 13-2 by RUTHIN.
