HAWARDEN Park 2nds claimed a seven-wicket victory over St Asaph 2nds in North Wales League Division Three.
Tom Norris took 4-10 off just 6.3 overs and Jeff Henshaw picked up 4-23 off six as Park dismissed the Saints for 102 in just 23.3 overs.
After tea Park’s response got off to a stuttering start as openers Norris and Andy Griffin departed the crease for three runs and no runs respectively.
But then Park found their rhythm as Jason Perry underpinned their innings with an unbeaten 26.
Jamie MacDonald made an all-important 34 and Ranajoy Dey carried Park past the Saints’ total as he scored 30no.
In Division Five TATA STEEL MAESHAFN earned a 97-run victory at Ruthin 2nds.
Stuart Applewhite scored 56 to help Maeshafn reach 146-5.
He was backed up by Peter Gresty (37) and Graham Houghton (19) as Maeshafn set an achieveable total.
But Ruthin collapsed despite opener Rich Hewitt making 23.
All around him batsmen fell, largely to Gresty, who pocketed 5-14.
Tom Hall chipped in with one but Ruthin were partially undone by their own blind panic.
Three of their number were run out trying to push things as the home side were bowled for just 49.
