Ice hockey: Flintshire Freeze close in on former head coach Karl Creamer’s replacement

FLINTSHIRE Freeze are close to revealing the identity of Karl Creamer’s successor.

The Freeze head coach became assistant manager of English Premier League side Telford Tigers last week.

The club had been aware of Creamer’s decision for a few weeks and the search for a replacement was under way before the announcement was made official.

The Chronicle understands the club is finalising a few minor details and they may reveal the new appointment and as early as next week.

Tomorrow night is the Freeze presentation night. Fans are invited to join players and coaching staff at the Days Hotel in Sealand from 7.30pm. There will be a late bar.

The club is playing travelling Canadian side the Ancaster Canucks on Saturday, May 12 at Deeside Ice Rink. Featuring Freeze players past and present, the friendly will face-off at 4.15pm and entry is £3 for adults, £1 for juniors.
