Clwyd Junior League: Penyffordd Pumas claim vital victory over Under 13s Division title-rivals Mostyn Dragons

PENYFFORDD Pumas claimed a potentially title-deciding 4-2 home win over Under 13s Division rivals Mostyn Dragons on Saturday.

Joshua Robinson (2), Rhys Lloyd and George Finlay pounced for the pacesetters with Jon Edmonds bagging a brace for the third-placed Dragons.

Second-placed Mold Juniors remained in the running with a 7-0 success at Flint-Bagillt Juniors given to them by Christos Pyrgas (4), Tom Blackwell (2) and Alex Calvert.

Also hitting the headlines was Ben Wynne. The Connah’s Quay Tigers goalkeeper scored twice in his side’s 10-0 triumph at Buckley Town Juniors. Joe Jones (4), Harry Massey (2), Henry Badhams and Elliott Jones also got in on the act.

Ewloe Harriers, with Sam Ellis (2) Lewis Steen, Shaun Murray strikes, won 4-1 at Shotton Steel, for whom Ben Brierley offered a consolation.

Holywell Town Juniors (Hadyn Wynne, Peter Trumper) earned an excellent 2-2 draw at Hawarden Rangers (Edward Lloyd, Sean Brown).

There was a 7-2 win for Shotton (Ryan Bradley 2, Brierley, Danny Anderson, Danny Edwards, Josh Hughes, Dylan Cooper) in midweek at Buckley (Ben Price, Sam Foulkes).

Calvert (5) and Pyrgas (2) fired Mold to a 7-2 home victory of their own over the Tigers (Jones, Keiran Crozier) as the Dragons (Brandan Davies, Edmonds 2, Jack Williams) sent Ewloe packing 4-0.
