BUCKLEY Town United moved within one win of the Under 12s Division championship after their second top-of-the-table clash with Ysceifiog Wolves in as many weeks ended 2-2 on Saturday.

Aaron Dowsett and Adam Connah struck for the Wolves with Nathan Williams and Joel Sampson on target for visiting Buckley, who can claim the crown by beating Shotton Steel on Saturday or Penyffordd on Monday.

Mynydd Isa Devils (Joe Robbins 3, Grant Spenser 2, Liam Prytherch, OG 2) were the morning’s big hitters as they stormed to an 8-1 success at home to Buckley Town Wanderers (Dan Woosey).

Lethal George Blockley (5), Max Middleton and Tom Smith got their names on the scoresheet as Mold Juniors won 7-3 at home to Aston Park Rangers (Thomas Edwards 2, Callum Mallon).

Penyffordd (Gethin Thomas 2, Reece Cosworth, Ryan Bainbridge, Joseph Walsh, Jake Lewis) also had their shooting boots on as they recorded a 6-2 victory at Holywell Town Juniors (Leon de Boer 2).

Penyffordd had gone down 4-0 at home in midweek to a Shotton (Andrew Jones 2, William Leonard, James Keenan) side pushing for a third-placed finish.

Flint-Bagillt Juniors (Callum Webber 2) saw their hopes of finishing above the Steelmen hit by a 3-2 reverse at Ewloe Harriers (Adam Randles 2, OG).

Hawarden Rangers, thanks to John Martin, Luke Muia (2), Ryan Dunning and William Jacks, were 5-0 winners at Mold.

Deiniol Bower-Gregory (3), Nathan Large (3), Connah, Alex Hughes, Lee Jones and Levi Gorman got the goals as Ysceifiog doubled that scoreline in triumphing 10-0 at Aston.

Buckley Town United, courtesy of Joe Shone (2) and Sampson, had won 3-0 at Connah’s Quay Tigers earlier in the week.
