FLINTSHIRE Primary Schools FA supremo Dave Nickless has been appointed chairman of the Welsh Schools FA in its centenary year.
The youth football mastermind has helped guide players such as Gary Speed, Michael Owen, Danny Collins and Ryan Shawcross along the mazy path of youth representative football and on towards bright futures in the Premier League.
He officially accepted the chains of office from the man he succeeded, Jim Flynn at the WSFA AGM.
On accepting the role, Nickless said: “It is a great honour for me and the Flintshire Primary Schools FA to be elected chairman.”
