Deeside truck firm hopes move will drive sales

A DEESIDE business which specialises in the sale of used commercial trucks, trailers and vans is going from strength to strength.

Mavic Commercial Vehicle Solutions (MCVS Ltd) was set up two years ago by Darius Fell of Alltami and Mark Jacques, who lives in Chester.

And now the company, which is based at Deeside Industrial Park and has a turnover of £2.5m, is expanding.

Mr Fell, 35, said: “We provide large commercial trucks to businesses all over the world. We have shipped vehicles as far as Mauritius, Africa and Iraq.

“And now we will be dealing in smaller vehicles such as Transit vans.

“We already get a lot of trade from companies in Flintshire and North Wales but we hope to grow the business further.”

The bosses are hoping the firm’s diversification will lead to them taking on more staff and providing more vehicles to businesses in Flintshire.

The company, which already employs 35 members of staff, is looking to take on more people from the Flintshire area once the new part of the business is up and running.

“Hopefully Flintshire businesses will support us – it is important we all support each other for local businesses to survive and thrive,”added Mr Fell.
