A HOLYWELL business has put together a winning Christmas window display for the third year in a row.
Hughes Parry Partnership Property Shop was named the winner of the town’s Best Decorated Christmas Shop Window competition.
The contest was judged by Holywell High School sixth-formers Kirsten Rose Brooks, Chris Hall, Bethan Jones and John Sandham Davies.
They named Rowlands Fruit and Veg store as runner-up and put the St Kentigern’s Hospice charity shop in third place.
Town centre manager Medwyn Roberts said: “Holywell High School has supported this competition for the last 12 years by allowing its pupils to spend time judging it.
“Similarly to previous years, this year’s team put a lot of time and effort into choosing a winner and two runners-up and I and the town council are very grateful to them for their dedication to the task.”
He added: “It’s a well known fact in the retail industry that people linger longer when they see an interesting window display and this increases the chance of them entering the shop and making a purchase.
“I hope this proves to be true for the winners, and indeed for every other shop that made the effort to add to the town’s festive appearance.”
