SHOPPERS in Mold can take home tasty smoked goods from Celyn Farmers’ Market on Saturday.
The popular market will be in St Mary’s Church Hall from 9am-2pm.
Traders will include Derimon Smokery, a family-run business based in Anglesey that uses traditional recipes and 400-year-old oak shavings to give maximum flavour to locally caught fish.
Throughout the year the award-winning company – which uses no chemicals, dyes or artificial flavourings during the smoking process – produces other smoked foods including poultry, game and cheese.
Producer David McCreadie said: “We have been part of Celyn Farmers’ Market for more than seven years now. It’s good to see our customers on a regular basis as we get to know what they like. We’re always looking at new product ideas and offering something a little different and this Saturday we will be selling pheasant breasts wrapped in smoky bacon. With some creamy mash and farmers’ market fresh seasonal vegetables, this makes a perfect Saturday night supper!”
There will be other stalls selling fresh seasonal vegetables, fresh meat, fish, homemade cakes, pastries and savoury goods, cheese, plants and a selection of crafts.
