Clwyd Junior League:

YSCEIFIOG Wolves made up for their disappointment at missing out on the Clwyd Junior League Under 12s Division title by beating Ewloe Harriers 6-1 in the final of the U12s Luke Ashford Challenge Cup at Cae y Castell on Sunday.

Deiniol Gregory-Bower (2), Aaron Dowsett (2), Adam Connah and Luke Evans fired the Wolves to victory at the home of Flint Town United FC with Ben Urquhart pulling a goal back for the Harriers.

Buckley Town United (Nathan Williams 2, Scott Jones, Rhys Jones, OG) clinched the U12s Division crown by winning 5-1 at Penyffordd on Monday.

Buckley (Joe Shone, Joel Sampson) had missed the chance to sew up top spot on Saturday as they lost for the first time this season in going down 3-2 at home to Shotton Steel (Andrew Jones, Thomas Bibby 2).

That followed a thrilling 5-4 win for in-form Shotton (Jones, Ieuan Rowe, Bibby, William Leonard 2) at home to Ewloe (Adam Randles 2, Sion Antrobus, Thomas Janney) last Wednesday. Thanks to Daniel Beech, Kieran Birchall, Luke Muia and Ryan Dunning, Hawarden Rangers won 5-3 at Mold Juniors, for whom Luke Garner bagged a brace.

Penyffordd (Gethin Thomas 2, Andrew Ho) won 3-1 on Saturday at Mynydd Isa Devils (Grant Spenser).
