Man further remanded in custody over Buckley house siege

A MAN has been further remanded in custody following a house siege in Buckley.

Stephen Ellis, 42, is charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause police officers fear of violence.

Ellis was arrested at his girlfriend’s flat in Hillsview Road, Buckley, on Friday, April 7, following a three-hour stand-off, where it is alleged Ellis discharged an air rifle toward a police officer.

The charge alleges he had a firearm with intent to cause a police officer to believe that unlawful violence would be used against him or against other people.

He will next appear for a plea and directions hearing in June.
