Football: Goal rush makes Buckley Town stand out

BUCKLEY Town Juniors hit the ground running against Holywell Town Juniors in the U14s.

The home side won 10-0 with goals shared between Keiron Hughes, Danny Shaw, Nathan Williams, Aled Bellis, Liam Reeves, Rhys Jones, Callum Webber and Joe Shone.

Connah’s Quay Tigers (James Hardwick, Joe Moore) faced Penyffordd and lost 5-2 at home (Aaron Sedgewick 4, Gethin Thomas).

Ewloe Harriers (Thomas Janney, Sion Antrobus, own goal) won 3-2 at home over Shotton Steel (Andy Jones, George Rathbone).

Flint Town Juniors (Grant Spencer) beat Mynydd Isa Devils 1-0 while Mold Juniors (Brandon Sharples, Max Middleton, Tom Smith, Dominic Keighley, Lee Garner, Dominic Ryder) enjoyed a 10-0 win over Buckley Town Wanderers.

Hawarden Rangers lost 4-0 at Ysceifiog Wolves (Adam Randles, Lee Jones, Iwan Roberts and Harri Williams).

In the U15s Flint Town Juniors went down 5-0 to Penyffordd (Thomas Davies 2, George Findlay, Henry Carver, Liam Hughes).

Holywell Town Juniors (Myles Cresswell) fell 3-1 at home to Hawarden Rangers (Alex Jones 2, Ed Lloyd).

Mold Juniors (Alex Calvert, Danny Stanton, Christos Pyrgas) and Connah’s Quay Tigers (Ben Brierley 2, Tom Duncan) played out a 3-3 draw but Ewloe Harriers (Sam Leonard, Matthew Revill, Jean Claude Andry-Bourgeois) won 3-1 at Mynydd Isa Coyotes (Danny Carrino).

In the U16s, Buckley Town Colts (Hayden Hughes 3, Nathan Williams, Aaron Williams, Lewis Jones) lost 6-1 to Flint Town Juniors (Aled Frost).

Greenfield (Connor Hughes 3) saw off Aston Park Rangers 3-1 (Tom Cumming).

Hawarden Rangers (Rhys Peers, Andy Wynne, Adam Hoole) were narrowly beaten 4-3 at home by Buckley Town Vipers (Jamie Birkett, Kyle Amos, Kris Turner, Rhys Wingeatt) and Penyffordd (Daniel Lee, Jack Williams, Matty Owen) also suffered a 4-3 reverse at home to Mold Juniors (Sam Woodward 2, Aaron Davies, Joe Robinson).
