Football: Hawarden Rangers U13s narrowly claim points at Broughton Super Saints

HAWARDEN Rangers claimed maximum points from their short trip to Broughton Super Saints in the under 13s.

Despite goals from Saints’ Declan Owen and Arran Turner, Rangers won through 3-2 with efforts from Joe Whitehead, Jack Rogan and Alex Deeley.

Flint Town Colts scored through Aaron Nicholson but were on the receiving end of a 5-1 loss at home to Buckley Town Juniors, Thomas Newton, Toby Fensome and Mark Asplet sharing the goals.

Broughton Super Saints Boro travelled to Mold Knights and emerged 7-0 victors.

Phillip Jones grabbed two goals and Nathan Griffith bettered that with three as Danny Shaw and an own goal completed the result.

Mynydd Isa Young Guns were fully loaded as they defeated Holywell Town Juniors 9-4.

In a game full of goals, Liam Davies (4) Alex Hawkins (2), Kean Pritchard (2) and Ryan Griffiths ensured Isa took the points.

Liam Blackwell (2), Kyle Davies and Ashley MacDonald found the net for Holywell.

Saltney Town were hit with a 10-0 home loss by Flint Town Juniors.

Shotton Steel held firm at home, earning a 4-1 win over Mold Hornets.

A hat-trick from Nathan Mendoza was supplemented by a Corey Jones strike, Iwan Jones claiming Mold’s consolation.
